A Malaysian has been killed by an earthquake-triggered landslide at the Tiu Kelep Waterfall in Lombok, Indonesia.
The Foreign Ministry, which confirmed the death, said at least six other Malaysians are still missing.BernamaThe ministry expressed its condolences to the victim's family, and urged all affected Malaysians to reach out to the embassy in Indonesia. "The Foreign Ministry advises all Malaysians to report themselves to the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta and abide the instructions of local authorities," it said.reported that 22 Malaysian tourists were trapped when the landslide occurred at the waterfall, which is located in north Lombok.
This was after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck 24km northeast of east Lombok at 2.07pm local time, followed by a second quake measuring 5.2 minutes later.
