The Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) has extended Christmas greetings to Christians in Malaysia, emphasizing the importance of the celebration in fostering a more mature and respectful community. PAS Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan highlighted the shared values of Islam and Christianity, such as belief in monotheism and the importance of charity, and expressed hope for a peaceful and joyous Christmas.
In a statement yesterday , the party’s secretary-general, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, said he hopes the celebration will be marked by joy, peace and safety, as in previous years.Takiyuddin also took the opportunity to highlight the importance of the Christmas celebration in Malaysia , dubbing it the celebration that adds colours to life experiences.
“PAS celebrates and welcomes the enriching aspects of this experience and its positive impact on building a better-quality, moral Malaysian society based on noble and pure religious values.”Takiyuddin mentioned that Islam and Christianity share many similarities in terms of basic beliefs and practices, which contribute to creating a better country.
