Malaysian Hospitality hanya wujud dalam kapal terbang
LAKONAN semula seorang pempengaruh media sosial mengenai pengalaman layanan yang diterimanya ketika berurusan di kaunter pendaftaran pelanggan baru-baru ini, saya lihat ia sebagai satu bentuk teguran kepada masyarakat secara kritikal.
Atau, betapa kritikalnya kita mendepani tekanan di tempat kerja atau mungkin dari rumah, sehingga sesiapa sahaja yang berada atau lalu di depan mata, akan menjadi ‘mangsa’. Di sudut lain, saya terbaca laporan mengenai hasil survey kedudukan negara-negara ASEAN dalam soal senyuman, kemesraan melibatkan penduduknya. Malaysia tidak berada dalam kedudukan lima teratas. Survey itu melibatkan responden di 100 negara antara 2021 dan 2022. Apa dah jadi dengan negara kita ini ya? Nak bagi senyuman pun malas.
Pesan saya, ramai juga yang berpesan sama, jika tidak ‘fit’ dengan kerja tersebut, pindah atau berhenti sahaja. Beri peluang kepada ramai lagi yang mahu bekerja. Customer service ini bidang yang perlu kita belajar. Kalau rajin mengembara, pasti kita akan dapat lihat bagaimana orang luar mendepani etika ketika berkhidmat dengan pelanggan.
