A Malaysian prisoner held at Guantanamo Bay has detailed the brutal torture he endured during interrogations by CIA agents through a series of drawings.

A Malaysia n prisoner held at the US-controlled Guantanamo Bay detention facility has detailed the brutal torture he endured during interrogations by Central Intelligence Agency ( CIA ) agents. In a 96-page document made public, Mohammed Farik Amin depicts the abuse through several drawings, illustrating how he was mistreated over the last five years of his detention.

The drawings were presented in a US military court during his trial alongside fellow Malaysian, Mohammed Nazir Lep, in January, at the advice of his lawyer, Christine Funk. Among the drawings shown, one depicts him with his hands tied behind his back, standing on tiptoes with a broom handle placed behind his knees. Another shows Mohammed Farik protecting his genitals with his hands, while a third portrays him being held with his hands raised above his head while being deprived of sleep. Additionally, Mohammed Farik drew himself naked, shaved from head to toe, and balancing his weight from one leg to the other to alleviate the pain. Another drawing depicts four guards, some wearing masks, holding his body to the floor while a CIA agent sits on his chest, pouring water on his face and body. The document, made public as part of an appeal to lessen their sentences, states that under military court law, jurors can consider the 'nature and duration of detention prior to trial' when determining a sentence or recommending clemency. Mohammed Farik, 49, and Mohammed Nazir, 48, were each sentenced to 23 years in January for their roles in the 2002 Bali bombings in Indonesia, which killed 202 people
