Malaysian education icon Arshad Ayub dead 93, family confirms
KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 — Tun Arshad Ayub died this morning, national news agency Bernama reported the family of the country’s education icon as confirming.His son previously disclosed that Arshad had been admitted to the intensive care unit of an unnamed hospital last week.
Arshad was the first ever director of the Mara Institute of Technology and was credited with setting it on the path to its eventual attainment of full-fledged university status.
