Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for immediate action to reduce tensions and prevent further conflict in the Middle East, condemning Israel's ongoing attacks on Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen as a distraction from the atrocities committed against Palestinians.
: Malaysia dengan tegas menggesa semua pihak di Timur Tengah agar segera mengurangkan ketegangan yang semakin meningkat dan menggugat kestabilan kawasan itu.
Anwar menegaskan bahawa pencerobohan dan serangan berterusan oleh Israel di Lubnan, Syria, dan Yaman adalah usaha yang disengajakan untuk mengalihkan perhatian komuniti global daripada kezaliman yang dahsyat serta tindakan genosid yang dilakukan terhadap rakyat Palestin di Gaza dan Tebing Barat. Perdana Menteri berkata kitaran tindakan dan reaksi yang berbahaya ini mengancam untuk melibatkan lebih banyak pihak dalam konflik, yang seterusnya akan mendalami ketidakstabilan dan meluaskan skala kemusnahan, tindakan segera mesti diambil untuk mencegahnya.
