Beliau menekankan keperluan untuk kakitangan Wisma Putra dan perwakilan diplomatik di luar negara untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan pesat, termasuk kemajuan teknologi dan jangkaan masyarakat yang berubah. Beliau turut menyeru kakitangan Wisma Putra agar sentiasa proaktif, menyedari bahawa dunia moden bukan sahaja saling berkait tetapi saling bergantung.
