Malaysia, Singapore reverse overlapping port limits

MALAYSIA and Singapore have agreed to suspend the implementation of their overlapping expanded port limits in the Straits of Johor, defusing a maritime dispute that started in December. In a statement, Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah and his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan said both countries will revert to port limits prior to October 25, 2018 for Malaysia, and December 6, 2018 for Singapore.
