Malaysia set to become LPG and LNG hub by 2022, says deputy minister

Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar said Malaysia is set to become the storage and distribution hub of LPG and LNG in the region within the next three years. — Picture by Azinuddin Ghazali

The two projects, which entail foreign investments of approximately US$300 million , would provide long-term benefits to the country, he added. The seven-hectare LPG storage facility involving US$100 million in foreign investment will begin this month and is expected to be completed within two years, with the capacity of storing about 134,000 cubic metres of gas.
