Anthony Loke, the Malaysian Minister of Transport, has questioned the rationale behind the Public Accounts Committee's (PAC) investigation into the 30-year lease of electric trains worth RM10.7 billion. Loke stated that the project is still in the planning stages and no contracts have been finalized. He emphasized that there is nothing to investigate as the project is at a preliminary stage.

Pada 12 Dis, PAC mengumumkan akan memulakan prosiding lima isu baharu pada sesi persidangan Dewan Rakyat akan datang. Isu lain ialah Ekosistem Perkhidmatan Kesihatan Swasta, Mekanisme Pengawalan, Rangka Perundangan dan Kaedah Pembiayaan melalui Insurans Perubatan; Implikasi Kenaikan Harga Perkhidmatan Swasta kepada Hospital Kerajaan serta Perolehan Kereta Api Elektrik Secara Pajakan Selama 30 Tahun Bernilai RM10.7 bilion.
