Malaysia's Internal Security Department Dismantles Various Crimes, Seizes RM960.1 Million Worth of Goods

Malaysia's Internal Security Department and Public Order (KDNKA) successfully thwarted various crimes nationwide, including wildlife trafficking, with seizures amounting to RM960.1 million during operations throughout 2024. The Special Investigation Branch/Wildlife Crime Bureau (WCB) accounted for over 50% of the total value, seizing more than RM434 million through operations like 'Integrated Operation Khazah', 'Operation Tiris', 'Operation Kontraban', 'Operation E-Waste', and others. The WCB also collaborated with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to strengthen enforcement capabilities against wildlife crimes and the conservation of iconic local animal species. The General Operations Force (PGA) also contributed significantly with successful seizures and arrests exceeding RM279 million. The Federal Reserve Unit (PSP) conducted 34 raids, resulting in 76 arrests and seizures worth RM37.1 million. Meanwhile, the Marine Police Force (PPM) dismantled 7,103 criminal cases involving activities like illegal logging, smuggling of goods, drugs, and wildlife, with seizures and fines totaling RM210 million.

PETALING JAYA: Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri dan Ketenteraman Awam berjaya menumpaskan pelbagai jenayah di seluruh negara termasuk penyeludupan haiwan dengan nilai rampasan sebanyak RM960.1 juta dalam siri operasi sepanjang 2024.

“Cawangan tersebut telah berjaya menyelesaikan 136 kes dengan 387 tangkapan dan ia merupakan kejayaan yang dilakarkan melalui Op Bersepadu Khazah, Op Tiris, Op Kontraban, Op E-Waste dan banyak lagi. Tambah beliau, Pasukan Gerakan Am turut memberi impak positif menerusi pelbagai kategori tangkapan dan rampasan dengan jumlah keberhasilan bernilai lebih RM279 juta.

Menurutnya, Pasukan Polis Marin juga berjaya menumpaskan 7,103 kes jenayah di perairan negara melibatkan pelbagai kesalahan antaranya aktiviti pembalakan tidak sah, penyeludupan barang kawalan, dadah, hidupan liar dengan nilai rampasan dan saman berjumlah RM210 juta.
