MAES SOT, (Thailand): (Bernama-Kyodo) An armed ethnic minority group that effectively controls an area of eastern Myanmar where criminal organisations operate online fraud operations said Friday (Feb 28) that it has taken a 36-year-old Japanese man into custody near the border with Thailand.
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s wood furniture exports recorded a total of RM9.9bil last year, says Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani .
Johari said the RM22.9bil in timber exports last year also marked a 4.9% increase from the year before. MIFF founder and chairman Datuk Tan Chin Huat said they were targeting a 5% increase in sales from last year’s edition, which secured cumulative sales exceeding US$1.28bil with participation from 714 exhibitors.“It’s a dynamic ecosystem that nurtures creativity and innovation in the industry,” he said.
Tan stressed MIFF's dedication in nurturing the next generation of furniture designers while connecting them with established industry players.
