Lim said the FDI growth was augmented by a 3.2% year-on-year expansion in the Industrial Production Index in January this year, higher than the market consensus of 2.3% compiled by Bloomberg. He said FDI planned by manufacturers from China rose from RM3.9 billion in 2017 to RM19.7 billion in 2018, an increase of 410.8% or RM15.8 billion.
