Malaysia and Thailand were the only South-east Asian nations to make the top 10, with Thailand in 10th place. “Malaysia offers a rare blend of low-cost living, excellent medical care, and vibrant culture that retirees find both accessible and enriching,” said the report. The report also commended Malaysia’s tropical climate, where year-round temperatures hover between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius. This, combined with the country’s modern amenities and English-speaking population, contributes to a smooth transition for retirees.
