Malaysia, Indonesia in pact to cut poverty, raise food security in Southeast Asia
Food security is a growing concern in Malaysia and the Asean region in the wake of the pandemic, which resulted in supply chain disruptions and high food prices. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, February 27, 2023.
“We see this as an opportunity for better collaboration between Felda and our friends in Indonesia in food security, a big issue these days. “In the past, we have written off 80% of Felda settlers’ loans amounting to RM8.3 billion. We cannot blame one party. We are always open to discussion,” he added.
