Malaysia's Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) is in the final stages of acquiring used F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets from the Kuwait Air Force (KAF), pending approval from the United States, the aircraft's manufacturer. This acquisition will bolster TUDM's patrol capabilities and bridge the gap until the implementation of the 15th Malaysia Plan (RMK-15) for new aircraft purchases.
