Malacca crime index falls by nearly 13%
THE state crime index declined by 12.9% for the first quarter of this year, accounting for 739 cases, compared to 848 cases for the same period last year.
Malacca police chief Raja Shahrom Raja Abdullah said based on the crime index statistics up to April 14, the violent crime rate had dropped by 23.9% to 153 cases compared to the same period in 2018 with 201 cases.
