Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad delivers his speech to the staff of the Prime Minister’s Department today at their first assembly for the year. — BernamaNew year resolutions should be made not just for self-benefit but also the success of the country, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
To achieve this objective, Mahathir said, Malaysia would venture into sophisticated fields so that it would be seen as a developed country which is modern and could compete with other developed nations. Mahathir also stressed the need for ministers and government officers to cooperate to ensure that all national development policies could be implemented successfully.
“There are people without the means, lack of skills, lack of knowledge, but all these can be overcome if we are willing to learn to do something; not only to do work but also the ways and our attitude towards our duties,” he added.
