Sementara itu pelaksanaan Food Bank Siswa juga akan mengatasi masalah mahasiswa terpaksa ‘ikat perut’.

“Saya sendiri sudah berjumpa dengan 20 timbalan naib canselor dan wakil Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar di semua universiti awam bagi mendapat input yang diperlukan termasuk maklumat mengenai golongan penuntut yang terpaksa berlapar,” katanya. “Seramai 800 penuntut UiTM Pulau Pinang dan 200 penuntut di Politeknik Seberang Perai akan mendapat faedah daripada program ini,” katanya.

“Ia akan dikawal selia sukarelawan Food Bank iaitu dalam kalangan penuntut sendiri. Setakat ini maklum balas diterima amat baik,” katanya.
