All Secure2u authorisations will be moved to Maybank’s MAE app on 1st July 2023, the single point of authorisation through the MAE app which is tied to one device per account. MyMaybank Maybank2U Secure2u MAE KillSwitch

Maybank will also introduce a Kill Switch feature for debit cards soon

All Secure2u authorisations will be moved to Maybank’s MAE app on 1st July 2023, the single point of authorisation through the MAE app which is tied to one device per account.This means that from 1 July, Secure2u through the MAE app will be the only platform to approve transactions made from M2U web, M2U app, MAE app and for online transactions made for Maybank cards. MAE customers are encouraged to update their app.

The initiative to move Secure2u to the MAE app is also in support to Bank Negara’s direction for banks to migrate from One Time Passwords via SMS to more secure ways to authenticate transactions.
