Madonna performs during a concert at the Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil May 4, 2024.NEW YORK — Two Madonna fans ended their lawsuit in New York accusing the pop superstar of starting concerts two hours late, prompting her legal team to threaten the plaintiffs' lawyers with sanctions.

In a separate filing on Wednesday, the defendants' lawyer said the dismissal "was not the result of any settlement." The plaintiffs said that because the concerts ended around 1 am the next day, they had either to leave early or spend more to get home because of limited public transport and ride-sharing options, and see their plans for the next day disrupted.

They said Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, both promoted by Live Nation, start their concerts on time.
