PETALING JAYA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will provide additional documents to the police for the issuance of a red notice by Interpol on Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law and another person.
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission will provide additional documents to the police for the issuance of a red notice by Interpol on two individuals, including Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said this was following the latest request from Interpol for Malaysia to furnish several documents for the red notice."The documents, among others, were regarding the draft on charges, which is a requirement, and MACC will comply, as soon as possible, probably by Monday," he said.
Azam said this to newsmen after a shooting programme with the media at the shooting range in Maktab Penjara Malaysia here on Saturday .On Friday , Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the Interpol red notice on the two individuals is still in the process of completion following some technical issues, which are being updated by MACC.
Last month, Azam said Muhyiddin's son-in-law Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, 48, and his lawyer Mansoor Saat, 69 need to be present at MACC to help investigation of corruption and malpractice regarding the registration of a project, recruiting and biometric storage of foreign workers. However, Immigration records showed both the individuals left Malaysia on May 17 and 21, respectively, and there are no records of them returning.
