MACC to appeal acquittal of former Johor exco member

THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission today says it will appeal the acquittal of former Johor exco member Abdul Latif Bandi, his son and a property consultant of corruption and money laundering. Abdul Latif, son Ahmad Fauzan Hatim and property consultant Amir Shariffuddin Abd Raub were freed from all 37 charges for corruption and money laundering after Johor Baru Sessions Court judge Kamarudin Kamsun ruled the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against the trio.
