KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has investigated the purported audio clip of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin supposedly plotting to entice Umno leaders to join forces with promises of Cabinet and GLC (government-linked company) appointments.

Its chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki said the matter has been handed over to the Attorney General's Chambers for the next course of action.

When asked if Muhyiddin could be called up to give his statement, Azam said this would depend on the instructions of the AGC. “Secondly, whether this is an offence or otherwise based on what was said in the audio clip," he said.
