KUALA LUMPUR: A former senior engineering manager of a manufacturing company has been detained by the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission for allegedly making false claims amounting to RM2mil.

According to the source, the male suspect, in his 40s, was detained at around 6pm on Tuesday while having his statement recorded at the MACC headquarters."The suspect is believed to have been involved in and colluded to submit and approve false claims from an associate's company for repair work. The suspect is also believed to have deceived the company he worked for by channelling information to third parties, said the source.
