The founder of dessert chain Bubblebee and Malaysian comedian, Shuib Sepahtu who was recently slapped with a RM17,500 fine for SOCSO arrears is making headlines again after Malaysian netizens expressed disappointment in his recent onstage joke.
The topic of the joke immediately shifted to other unrelated matters but those who are well aware of his SOCSO arrears definitely did not miss the “shade” behind the joke. Not long after the first fine, Shuib was charged for failing to pay taxes worth RM1.6 million, to which he pleaded NOT guilty.Shuib’s joke was met with waves of laughter from the audience but social media users were not amused with the reaction.
