Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar said discussions between Malaysian authorities and their counterparts from Tehran and Rome is currently ongoing.

Kamaruddin said all 48 Malaysians who have registered with the embassy in Tehran will be brought home. "The rest wants to remain in Italy, as they are already permanent residents of the country," he said.
