It’s no secret that companies often prefer hiring new staff members at lower salaries than retaining current employees. Throw nepotism in the mix, and you may have a disastrous situation.

One Malaysian employee, who had been fired to make way for a new, ‘cheaper’ employee, is now showing his former boss why he should have been retained. The former employee took to the UTAR Confessions – ALL Rejected / Censor Original Posts Facebook page to showcase a conversation with his former boss, where the latter asked the former employee for “free advice” after the new, ‘cheaper’ employee, who is also the boss’s relative, had resigned. The former employee wrote, “Is this kind of rubbish boss worth following? 4 and a half months ago, this rubbish boss made big promises to me and asked me to train and teach the new employee .

“At that time, my wife was already 9 months pregnant, and I didn’t dare to tell her that I was suddenly fired. I still ‘went to work’ every day, as usual. Fortunately, I met a noble man from the same industry who needed me, and I joined his company smoothly.”“Today, this cheap boss kept calling me, but I didn’t answer. As expected, he is still shameless.”“ your phone working? Hi, bro. The new employee resigned already, and I need your free advice on some technical issues.

Shocked by the audacity of the former boss, he responded, “Free? You are free! Didn’t you say that the new employee can take my place with half the salary? I am no longer your employee! One machine setting is RM2,000. Stop talking nonsense to me. I will come when the money arrives.”In his confession on the Facebook page, the former employee went on to share how he had already left his coding for his former boss, which the former boss should appreciate.
