Previously, we shared how investigations by the Royal Malaysia Police found that Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd had never paid their relevant taxes, which prompted netizens to bash the Inland Revenue Board over their oversight spanning several years.
In a viral X post with over 220,000 views and 4,300 likes, @chihohoho said that while GISBH never got found out after not paying their taxes for years, his company was ‘randomly’ selected by LHDN for audit review twice in just 3 years. “Found nothing, but I had to pay my auditors. RM700 down the drain. Maybe because the company’s director is Chinese lah,” he explained.
One commenter said that LHDN also ‘knocked’ on his company, and he’s a Malay. Another commenter echoed the same sentiment, saying that it’s not about one’s race but about the ‘connections’ one has.
