A Malaysian girl’s handmade dress for her school’s Merdeka contest impressed netizens recently, going viral on TikTok with over 1.1 million views and more than 27,900 likes as of the time of writing.
Instead, in the 10-second video, the girl can be seen standing in the cargo bed of her father’s pickup truck to go to school for the Merdeka dress contest. Furthermore, when they arrived at the school, the father had to help his daughter get down from the back of the pickup truck, with stacks of plastic chairs being made as makeshift steps.
Furthermore, she also shared that the results of the school contest will only be announced on 12 September.
