: Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product growth for this year is very likely to exceed the earlier projection of between 6.5 per cent and 7.0 per cent, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He noted that the International Monetary Fund has forecast that global economic growth would slow from 3.2 per cent in 2022 to 2.7 per cent in 2023. He said Padiberas Nasional Bhd , for example, has agreed to contribute RM10 million this year and RM50 million next year to help poor paddy farmers.
