The star opened up about how she's spending her time at home.

"I'm going to be honest. At the beginning...I thought I was going to work out every day and be in the best shape of my life. That has not been the case," Hale tells"I love group classes; I love being in a group environment when working out. So I'm finding it hard to [be] inspired to work out when I'm by myself — and that's OK."

But while practicing social distancing and self-isolating amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the 30-year-old has been spending most of her time cuddling her dog Elvis , watching Ryan Murphy's new Netflix show"I'm taking the chill route," Hale says. "I haven't really seen many people or gotten ready for anything, so [I'm] keeping [hair and makeup] pretty low-key."

We've all had to reevaluate many routines while under stay-at-home orders. For many people, like Hale, this means focusing more on skin care and less on makeup and heat-styling hair. "This time has been such a nice break from not wearing makeup," she says. "I have just come off seven months of filming [], and my hair and skin were so tired. I just use sunscreen when I go outside and let my hair air dry.

As she focuses on showing her complexion some extra care, she couldn't be happier than to partner with beloved skin-care brand. "I'm thrilled," she says. "I'm all about clean products, and all its products are hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, fragrance-free, and [starting to be] more sustainable. It's a brand that just aligns with my life."

The new brand ambassador describes her complexion as oily and prone to breakouts and admits figuring out a skin-care routine that works for her took a while. "It's all trial and error, and I didn't figure [this] out until I was 30," Hale says.
