“It was a pretty straightforward phone call,” she said. “I started out by just saying, ‘Hey, I think we’re getting near being ready.’ We’ve been talking a lot about what we’re doing in the movie space and I said, ‘I think we’re getting close to being ready. How would you like to go to Celebration?’ That was really the beginning of it. She was out of her mind excited.”, who is potentially working on a new “Star Wars” trilogy.
Taika Waititi is also working on a standalone film in the “Star Wars” universe. Kennedy gave an update on that as well.

3 new 'Star Wars' movies coming, including Rey's returnFor “Star Wars” lovers, new entertainment is a little less far, far away. Lucasfilm announced Friday three new live-action films in the franchise at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023. One of the films will feature the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey. Directing the movies will be James Mangold, Dave Filoni and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Mangold’s film will return to the dawn of the Jedi. Filoni’s will look at the New Republic.
