Guadiz appealed for additional funding from the DOTr as he pointed out that the budget, as it now stands, could only last for about six months.
“As early as now, I am requesting the DOTr to come up with additional funding so that we can allocate the money until the end of the year,” he said. The LTFRB chief said the implementation of the discount would depend on the guidance of the DOTr, as they would take the cue from Transporation Secretary Jaime Bautista on how to implement it.
“I think what they [will] do is to provide a discount to the people so that the P1.2-billion budget could be stretched to many transport services on a nationwide scale,” Guadiz said.Subscribe to our daily newsletter
