The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is opening more than 10,000 slots for application for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) starting April 17, 2023.

In a copy of a Board Resolution obtained by GMA Integrated News, the LTFRB approved the opening of additional 10,300 TNVS slots in Metro Manila.

The agency said it “sees the need to open additional slots to maintain a sufficient number of TNVS to supply the existing demand…” The resolution was signed by LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III and Board Members Riza Marie Tan-Paches and Mercy Jane Paras-Leynes. The agency said guidelines and documentary requirements for the filing of TNVS applications will be followed to prevent the proliferation of illegal transactions and to limit applicants engaging with fixers.
