The National Family Planning and Family Development Board (LPPKN) has facilitated 6,249 successful pregnancies through various subfertility treatments since 1976, as announced by the Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
From 1976 to 2024, the National Family Planning and Family Development Board ( LPPKN ) has resulted in 6,249 pregnancies through subfertility services. With an annual average of 9,000 new and recurring cases, 29,163 couples have received subfertility treatments, with 21% or 6,249 successfully conceiving. The treatments include timed intercourse, intrauterine insemination ( IUI ), gamete intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT), in vitro fertilization ( IVF ), and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, announced this at the 45th anniversary of LPPKN's subfertility services. The board offers affordable treatment costs ranging from RM1,000 to RM15,000, and a subsidy program for IUI treatments from 2020 to 2023 for eligible couples
