Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry stakeholders are set to conduct a two-day summit to discuss relevant laws concerning consumers as well as the entire sector.
In a statement, LPG Marketers Association said industry stakeholders and officials from the Department of Energy and the Department of Trade and Industry will gather for the First LPG Industry National Summit on March 2 and 3, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Former LPGMA and Republic Gas Corp. president Arnel Ty said the event will be the largest summit of LPG dealers and marks the culmination of the regional summits held in La Union and Pampanga in January and February this year. The summit, with the theme "Roadmap for Safe Operations of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Industry", aims to engage the LPG industry dealers, the DTI, and the DOE in promoting the importance of the LPG Law and the Consumer Protection Act.“The event will feature various topics such as safety and security, market trends, consumer protection, and the role of LPG in the country's energy mix,” said Ty.
LPGMA said the summit is expected to draw around two to three thousand participants from LPG dealers across the Philippines. The summit will also provide attendees with the opportunity to network with industry experts, policymakers, and key stakeholders to gain valuable insights on how to improve their business operations.
