Almost the entire country will experience improved weather as the low pressure area that caused rains in some parts of the country last week has dissipated on Tuesday evening, Feb. 21, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration in its bulletin on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
PAGASA said it has not monitored any weather disturbance on Wednesday and the chance of LPA or tropical cyclone formation remains low through the weekend. In the next 24 hours, it said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will be the dominant weather system that will bring cloudy and rainy weather in the Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
The threat of flooding or landslides caused by moderate to occasional heavy rains remains in these areas, PAGASA warned. Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms may affect Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.PAGASA said the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with light amihan rains.
