Low Tabung Haji dividend proof of poor economy, says Najib

FORMER prime minister Najib Razak said Tabung Haji’s lowest ever dividend rate of 1.25% has shown that last year the country had a poor economic performance. He added the pilgrims fund could have announced a better dividend rate if it had used Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards 9 , which does not account for impairments in Tabung Haji’s equity holdings.
