One of the newest members of the Loudoun County School Board said she has been locked out of her Facebook account.

Tiffany Polifko, a conservative elected to the northern Virginia school board last month to represent the Broad Run district seat, said that when she tried to log into her school board member page, she was hit with a message that her account had been suspended. Her campaign page is still readily accessible.Polifko posted a screenshot of the suspension message on Twitter, which says her account was suspended for violating Facebook's rules on"account integrity and authentic identity.

Facebook is silencing my account attached to my official school board member page. They can't handle the truth. pic.twitter.com/kAuIAlznFbIn an interview with the Washington Examiner, Polifko said she has appealed the suspension but doesn't know what could have triggered it. She noted that while the suspension message says her page would not be visible to others, the page is still publicly viewable.

"[Facebook] asked me to upload a picture of myself so that they could verify my identity, which I did," Polifko said."And now I'm just sitting and waiting to be told whether or not they will allow me to access and use my account or whether it will be suspended indefinitely."Polifko was elected to the Loudoun County School Board in a special election last month.

Her suspension comes a week after a Loudoun County School Board meeting that saw a number of parents in the community demand the other members of the board resign during the public comment period, following a report from the special grand jury that detailed the district's failures in responding to the sexual assaults. The parents at the meeting also said they were grateful to see Polifko on the board.
