PORT DICKSON: A 27-year-old man was fined RM5,500 at the Magistrate's Court here for driving under the influence of alcohol.
S. Janagan from Masjid Tanah in Melaka had pleaded guilty to the charge after it was read to him before magistrate Siti Huzaifah Abd Talib on Thursday .
A police patrol team conducting Ops Mabuk conducted a breathalyser test on the accused and his blood alcohol content was found to be 199mg/100ml.Janagan was then taken to a police station where another test conducted showed the alcohol reading to be 124mg/100ml.
