Police have completed their investigation into a fatal lorry crash on the North-South Highway in Malaysia, which claimed seven lives. The driver's testimony, along with the absence of drugs or alcohol in his system, is aiding the investigation into potential negligence. Police are urging witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward. The case will be referred to the state prosecutor after the investigation file is complete.

Ujarnya, ujian saringan air kencing terhadap pemandu itu juga menunjukkan keputusan negatif daripada pengaruh dadah dan alkohol.“Polis juga meminta mana-mana saksi yang melihat kejadian atau mempunyai rakaman kamera papan pemuka kenderaan tampil untuk membantu siasatan.Sebelum ini, Utusan Malaysia melaporkan, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Pusat Pemeriksaan Kenderaan Berkomputer , Mahmood Razak Bahman berkata, berdasarkan rekod, lori yang mengakibatkan kemalangan itu baru didaftarkan pada April 2024.

Menurut beliau, lori terbabit juga dijadualkan untuk menjalani pemeriksaan berkala kali pertama di Puspakom pada April 2025. – UTUSAN
