A Lorain County Sheriff’s deputy has been fired after he admitted to stealing money during an investigation into a man’s death last week, according to an incident report and the sheriff’s office.

While deputies were at the home, the stepbrother of the deceased told investigators that a large amount of money was missing from a black bag, according to an incident report.
