A third-grade girl in Lorain County has been criminally charged after police say she made two bomb threats on social media.

“I almost didn’t think it was real, to be honest, to have someone that young,” said Jacob Kyle, a 7th-grade coach at Durling Middle School., Sheriff’s deputies said a Vincent’s Elementary 3rd grader is charged with inducing panic. They say she created a fake Facebook page and tracked it back to her. Authorities said she admitted to making the threat as well as another one back in September.
“It’s really sad,” the mom told us. “I think that parents should have a little more involvement in what their kids are doing. 3rd grade they know the consequences, we talk about it but this is the 2nd time I heard I believe that she’s done it.”“I blame it mostly on the social media aspect because a lot of things go through social media and word travels fast and as you can see someone can have a threat just like that and it can go downhill,” Kyle said.
