Virgin Voyages launched the adult-only cruise ship, Scarlet Lady, last year, but the cruise line hasn’t stopped there.
Richard Branson’s cruise line recently premiered another adult-only ship called Valiant Lady, according to
. Virgin Voyages’ president Nirmal Saverimuttu hopes the new ship will surge in attendance during the summer season, especially COVID-19 restrictions began to loosen.He added Scarlet Lady had a positive response, leading to high hopes for Valiant Lady. The sister ships are reportedly almost identical. Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady share a lot in common including the “glitzy interior” and several restaurants.
Captain Marco Carsjens talked about the appeal of these adult-only cruise ships compared to traditional cruise ships. “I came from more traditionally designed ships, but Virgin Voyages is very different and actually quite out there from the exterior to the interior in comparison,” Carsjens told. “I’m passionate about design, so the brand using people who have never worked in ship design before was fascinating and it has worked out great.”
Valiant Lady set out to sail on the morning of Friday, March 11, from southeast England’s Essex to London.
