Life Choices, a Christian crisis pregnancy center in Longmont, was vandalized and caught fire early Saturday morning, police say, and the incident is being investigated as arson.
Police and the Longmont Fire Department responded at 3:17 a.m. Saturday to 20 Mountain View Avenue where fire and smoke damaged the building, according to the city. Responders found graffiti on the exterior of the building, with messages including, “If abortions aren’t safe neither are you” and “Ban off our bodies.”
On its website, Life Choices describes its organization as a “Christ-centered ministry” that is funded “primarily by the generosity of compassionate and concerned individuals, businesses, and churches in our communities.”Investigators ask residents in the surrounding area to check surveillance videos between 2:45 and 3:30 a.m. for unusual or suspicious activity. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 303 774-3700.
