Penang, Malaysia, has been named one of the best destinations to visit in Southeast Asia by renowned travel guide publisher Lonely Planet. The island's rich history, culture, and diverse culinary scene were cited as key attractions. Other destinations on the list include Taman Negara Khao Sok in Thailand, Cao Bang in Vietnam, Siargao in the Philippines, Luang Prabang in Laos, Amed in Bali, and Gili Air in Indonesia.

Rekod-rekod ini jelas mengukuhkan kekuatan Pulau Pinang dalam sektor pelancongan perubatan global.
