Loke confirms ECRL alignment reroute if project gets green light

THE East Coast Rail Link alignment will be rerouted to benefit Negri Sembilan if negotiations with China conclude that the project will go on. Transport Minister Anthony Loke, who confirmed the matter, said a decision is expected to be reached when Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad visits China at the end of the month to discuss, among others, lowering the project’s cost.
