BEAUFORT: The gathering against Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS) that took less than two hours at Membakut town was a peaceful event, where local opposition took turns to give their views on the matter.
Less than a thousand turned up for the ‘Himpunan Solidarity Rakyat: Bantah PSS’ organised by non-governmental organisations , Pertubuhan Peningkatan Pendidikan Rakyat Sabah and Solidariti Rakyat Sabah , which was held in the same day as the tamu on Wednesdays.
Some of the audience arrived as early as 8am, including those who drove from Kota Kinabalu, when the event started around 9.30am and ended before 11.30am. “The attendance was more; we actually had an overwhelming turn up but we did not have enough pages to sign, ” he added.
