With that being said, who knew that this famous frozen yogurt shop would prevent a customer from using her own container when placing her order in an effort

From time to time, we're reminded to practice the 7Rs; Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Repurpose, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot to keep our environment clean and safe. Some companies have also encouraged their customers to keep pushing forward for a more sustainable future.Over the weekend, a local woman named Chiayeow Gan posted on the Zero Waste Malaysia Facebook group to share her experience of ordering at a llaollao outlet in Melaka, without specifying the exact location.

Much to her surprise, the new store supervisor declined the customer's request saying that it was not possible for her to use her own container. The mother-of-two informed the supervisor that there had been no issue with using her own cup at the outlet previously and that her intention was to reduce waste. Unfortunately, the supervisor did not believe her claims and asked her for photographic evidence.

Not wanting to argue any longer, the customer simply left with her family to go have ice cream at Baskin Robins instead. 'This was the first time I was declined by llaollao Malaysia. Every cup and every spoon goes in the bin. I do not expect a discount but please do help make it easy for people who bring their own containers as we are not out here to swindle an extra gram of ice cream but to help reduce waste,' she wrote.

At the time of writing, llaollao Malaysia has yet to address the viral issue and clarify their policy regarding customers using their own containers to reduce waste. Do you think llaollao Malaysia should simply allow customers to bring their own containers?
